Hachiko Cat

It was my first time catching a glimpse of this cat, which is apparently known lately for being seen sitting still at Shibuya's Hachiko statue and other tourist-y parts of the city. My first impression was, "Oh wow, what's a cat doing here?" and "Adorable!" like the thick crowd of photo-takers in front of it.
But it was so cold out, and noisy and bustling with people and cars nearby... a cat's natural instincts wouldn't tell it to stay put in an uncomfortable place like this.
A few minutes after I snapped these photos, a man went up to the cat and made a sound, and the cat immediately leaped onto the man's shoulders and perched there as he walked away, taking the scarf with him.
