Tokyo Photographer: Kimono Photoshoot with Audrey

I had such a lovely time spending an afternoon photographing the beautiful Audrey from Hong Kong, who was so positive and cheerful despite the rainy weather! It's been getting hotter and more humid lately, but this day felt like a breath of fresh air with the sudden coolness of rain. I also think the light and atmosphere of rain is perfect for a photoshoot, especially when someone this pretty is holding an umbrella :) I really enjoyed talking and hearing about the differences between Hong Kong and Japan, as well as hearing about Audrey's travels. Thank you so much for everything, Audrey!

Thanks to Kimono Rental Aki for the gorgeous kimono arrangement for Audrey! For anyone looking to rent a kimono for a photoshoot in Tokyo, this shop is recommended. The staff were so professional and kind, and they had an amazing assortment of kimonos and obis which they expertly choose and dress you with. They have a Facebook page as well!

Tokyo Couple Photography: Diana & Brian

Diana and Brian had just gotten married a few days before and were here in Tokyo for a quick trip before heading off again. It was a joy to meet up with and photograph these two lovely people, both from Bay Area! I'm so happy to have been able to capture a few moments of their time here in Japan. Diana and Brian, thank you so much!

Tokyo Portrait Photography: Anastasia's Fifteenth Birthday

Anastasia's father contacted me with a request: that for his daughter's fifteenth birthday, she had a special wish to take photos in Shibuya at nighttime. Currently living in Seoul, Korea, the family took a trip to Japan and met up with me the other evening for this photoshoot. The fifteenth birthday is a very special event in Latin American culture, when the whole family celebrates the growth of a young girl into a lady. I'm so happy that I could take a small part in celebrating Anastasia's fifteenth year with this photoshoot!

Tokyo Couple Photography: Tina & Andrew

I had a fantastic time photographing Tina and Andrew from Australia, who came to Japan on their honeymoon trip. These two were such nice people, and so much fun to shoot with as we explored a garden and the city streets. Thank you both for a wonderful photoshoot! :)

Tokyo Model Photography: Romain

It was a pleasure to photograph Romain, who contacted me when he needed some new photos for his modeling and acting portfolio. He said that the agencies he works with had been requesting some good shots, and he had been sending them self-taken photos up to now. Amazing that he's already doing a fair amount of modeling work here in Tokyo despite not even being here for a year yet! Thank you Romain, and hoping for even more success to come :)

Tokyo Portrait Photography: The City at Night

It's been a while since I've done a nighttime photoshoot in Tokyo, and I'm really glad I had the opportunity this time. There's just something about Tokyo at night that takes hold and amazes me. For these images, Ben requested something similar to the feel of Lost in Translation, a film I really like as well, and something that fits with the feel of his music.

Nature Walk with Kaliah

It was great to see Kaliah again after a long while. We spent some time walking through a nature reserve just before it closed for the afternoon, and the sun beaming down us felt almost like midsummer. Kaliah is leaving soon on a trip through Europe, and I can't wait to hear about those adventures! Thank you so much for the lovely walk :)
