Early Japan Memories with the Canon Kiss X2

In Part 1 and Part 2 of this series, I shared some of the photos I took in the past with my old point and shoot cameras, the Canon Powershot SD450 and SD1100 IS. After moving to Tokyo, I saved up for a few months and bought myself a Christmas present - my very first DSLR, the Canon EOS Kiss X2 (also known as the EOS Rebel XSi). Most of the photos below were taken with the 50mm f1.8 lens, and a few with the Kiss X2 kit lens. In the final post of this series, also known as "It's Not About the Gear: Part 3", I'd like to share with you a few of the memories from my first year or two living in Tokyo.

The streets of Tokyo, the atmosphere.. all of it was so different from my hometown back in California.
A coin laundry in Tokyo.
Ebisu.
Train rushing by.
My friend Momo. We met up quite a few times for photoshoots over the years. Now she's back in NY :(
Shadows and light.
My first view of Mt. Fuji up close.
A kitty that came right up to my door as I was playing guitar :)
Strawberries! So juicy and red.
Red.
First time viewing cherry blossoms in Japan.
