I went on a small trip to Ueno Zoo last month! The last time I visited this zoo was back in 2009, when I first came to Japan, so I was realllly excited. The weather was a bit weird, and it kept raining on and off that day. But I had a wonderful time, and finally got to visit the petting zoo! Woohoo!
Yes, I'm still a kid :)
Elephant eating grass and raising its trunk. We also saw another one peeing and pooping at the same time. Let me tell you, that was a huge volume of pee and poop at once.
Monkeys didn't seem to mind the rain!
The petting area, yay!! These cute and slightly rain-damp sheep didn't mind me petting them :)
Being among the animals reminds me that we all share this world. It's so mysterious that we all have different languages and ways of living, we're all such completely different creatures, yet we came to life in this place somehow. I wonder what they would all say to us if they could speak our language, or us theirs. What they must think of humans, and how we are changing the Earth so quickly.
