I bring you... a few early cherry blossom shots in Tokyo!
This one is not cherry blossoms. But I like the sky too.
So this whole past week, I've been running around like a madwoman shooting fashion shows in different places after work. So admittedly, the sakura photos you see above are mostly taken on the way to work in the morning! I haven't actually had time to focus on taking photos of the cherry blossoms in Tokyo yet, even though I've been out in the midst of the gorgeous blooms in parks a few times... I was focusing on shooting the people instead, on photoshoot assignments. However! I did have a lovely cherry blossom walk with my good friend last weekend, and you should see those photos here very soon! How lovely it is to see the afternoon sun light the pale pink blossoms aglow... see petals whirling through the air as the wind carries them. This weekend, I'm aiming to get a few more shots of the sakura, hopefully in full bloom! I am praying that the rain on Sunday won't dash them all away.
Even with all my crazy dashing around the last few days, I can't help stopping for a few moments to admire the cherry blossoms in Tokyo. I must say, this is definitely one of my favorite times of the year in Japan.
Where have you all been visiting to see the cherry blossoms this year?
Any hanami parties and plans? :)
